Thank you to all the generous donors who helped support Kick POTS this year! We surpassed last year's goal by 40% which was donated to CHOP's Acquired Autonomic Dysfunction Program!
What is POTS?
P.O.T.S. stands for Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome. It is a type of autonomic dysfunction. Autonomic dysfunction (also called dysautonomia) is a condition in which the autonomic nervous system (ANS) isn’t working properly. The ANS controls the “automatic” functions in the body, including breathing, heart rate, blood pressure, digestion and body temperature. The condition can cause dysregulation of vital organ systems and greatly impact a child’s ability to function. There is no cure for P.O.T.S.
My name is Isabella Clark. I am a freshman at Rowan University and play on the Woman's Soccer Team.
